Participating Entities
The UN JPO Programme at the Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA)/ Capacity Development Office recruits and administers JPOs for the UN Secretariat (all UN departments and offices) and its entities.
How to Apply
The JPO programme is open to applicants from participating countries. Candidates from developing countries may apply for positions in the framework of the Dutch and Italian JPO Programme.
Facts & Figures
As of December 2017, the UN JPO Programme @DESA is managing and supporting the assignments of:
- 205 JPOs
- from 20 donor countries and from 27 different nationalities
- 36% male and 64% female
- assigned to 29 duty stations around the world
- working for more than 30 different UN Departments/Offices including Regional Commissions and Peacekeeping Missions
